Armie Hammer’s ex-wife dishes on Hollywood scandal

Buckle up, this is about to get really, really grim for actor Armie Hammer's fans.

Hollywood actor Armie Hammer is in deep, hot water after being exposed for his sickening fantasies of violence and cannibalism. His estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, responded to reports of his extra-marital affairs and desire for human flesh by saying she was, "shocked and sickened," and "believes" all the women who have come forward. We hope you're sitting down for what is about to come next. Go ahead, take a minute. Prepare yourself for this bumpy, wild ride.

Hammer, who shot to fame from movies like The Social Network, has been accused of graphically explaining a violent, cannibalistic role play fantasy through Instagram direct messages with a woman who has yet to come forward publicly, but goes by the handle @houseofeffie. The actor only came forward tonight to respond to the allegations, with TMZ reporting him saying, ""I’m not responding to these b******* claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic." Armie added, "Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that."

The chats also expose him calling the woman in question, a one-time girlfriend, a "slave," over the time period of 2016 through February of 2020, a time when he was still very much married to Elizabeth Chambers. Their marriage ended after 10 years together, but Elizabeth has confirmed on multiple occasions that she was well aware of infidelities with English actress Lily James.

After learning of the utterly haunting messages, Elizabeth said the development of cannibalistic desires came as a "complete shock," and that "Armie appears to be a monster."

While the chats have yet to be confirmed as authentic by Armie himself or his representatives, they definitely portray the actor as having a deeply controlling side, demanding women call him, "Daddy," and boasting several mentions of biting, marking, and rape. It's also not the first time in recent years he's been caught saying incredibly violent things or referencing cannibalism.

Cannibalism is practiced less today than ever before in history, with numbers dwindling since the last Ice Age when it was considered commonplace to feast on the flesh of friends. In Western New Guinea there is a tribe known as The Korowai along the Ndeiram Kabur River, the tribesman believe it is their actual spiritual duty to consume specific human carcasses. Traveler's paradise, Fiji, also has a rich history of cannibals -- with the unoffical nickname being "Cannibal Island" thanks to the Naihehe Caves having modern day human eaters among the population. In India, the Aghori monks perform cannibalistic rituals to gain spiritual enlightenment, drink from human skull bowls, and cover their bodies in burnt human remains. They only use the bodies of those who have already passed, though. Even popular vacation spots like French Polynesia are ripe with cannibalistic tribes. In 2011 a German tourist went missing while exploring Nuku Hiva and his remains were eventually found near a campfire, hacked to pieces, and burned by a tribe known for their cannibalistic ways.

And it's happening in our own backyards here in America, too. In June of 2020 a San Francisco-area man was charged with the murder and cannibalism of his 90-year-old grandmother.

"A 37-year-old man arrested Monday in a bizarre case where police said they found him trying to eat his grandmother’s body has been charged with murder and special allegations including mutilation, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. Dwayne Wallick is accused of killing his 90-year-old grandmother Ruby Wallick, who officers found after responding around 2:10 p.m. Monday to a report of a woman on the ground bleeding and a man standing near her at a residence in the 1200 block of Club Court, police said."

What does all this have to do with Armie Hammer, though?

Well, human sexual cannibalism is a very real thing, and is considered a psychosexual disorder that involves people sexualizing the consumption of another human being's flesh. Typically these people are considered sociopaths by psychologists, and are expected to display signs of impulsivity, selfishness, and a lack of remorse.

Erotophonophilia, often referred to as "lust murder" is what the unverified Instagram chats with Armer seem to display. It's a condition where extremely violent fantasies play out with murder, and often mutilation. In select cases, those with this very disturbing condition will eat some of their victim's body parts -- like toes. Jack The Ripper was suspected to be an erotophonophiliac.

"Perhaps a celebrity who is already accustomed to fame and fortune, and has reached levels normally unachievable, is now interested in something that is normally unachievable, taboo," explains Mendi Baron, LCSW and founder of Eden Center for Eating Disorders and Ignite Teen Treatment.

So what now?

We'll wait to see if all this pans out as 100 percent accurate, but Hammer is already departing his upcoming action comedy with Jennifer Lopez, Shotgun Wedding. Multiple sources are reporting that his part will be recast. Jennifer Lopez herself has yet to comment. Ryan Reynolds was originally supposed to play Hammer's role, and is a producer on the film, which follows a couple with cold feet whose destination wedding is suddenly taken hostage.

Hammer's representatives and team have been trying to muster Hollywood support for him in the wake of this violent, scary scandal, but Hollywood A-listers seem too nervous to tarnish their own brands in the event Armie's messages were, indeed, real. Hammer has definitely been caught liking bondage-themed tweets before, though.

And, like any other insane scandal in the history of time and Hollywood (but especially time in Hollywood), loads of women are now bursting forth with their own "me too" stories of Hammer's alleged dominace and violent tendencies.
