Kim Johnson, the New York teacher who became the oldest female finalist in Survivor history in 2001, has passed away at the age of 79. Johnson’s children, Wendy, Teddy, and Kerry, confirmed the news with a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Our mom leaves a legacy of strength, resilience, kindness and generosity. She wore her rose-colored glasses right up until the end. She was the coolest mom and grandmother in the world. We will miss her forever,” they said. County takes ARPA money back from Philipstown water district project
CARMEL – The county legislature’s Audit and Administration Committee approved a plan to redirect $369,670 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) money originally earmarked for the Garrison Landing Water District in Philipstown. The money will be reallocated to an ARPA-eligible county project after learning the Garrison Landing project did not meet the standards set by the federal government. Legislators were briefed on the need to redirect the money by Finance Commissioner Michael Lewis.
