Mass. State Lottery winner: $1 million prize claimed from $50 ticket
Somebody bought a winning $1 million scratch ticket in Massachusetts for $50 and came forward to claim their prize on Tuesday. The $1 million prize was from the lottery’s “Billion Dollar Extravaganza” scratch ticket game. The game was released on Feb. 7, 2023 as the first installment of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $50 instant tickets. Two $1 million and three $2 million prizes remain to be claimed as of July 16.
Man killed in two-car crash in Wilbraham, police say
A man was killed in a two-car crash on Route 20 in Wilbraham Wednesday evening, according to police. Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Boston Road and Main Street shortly after 8:30 p.m., Wilbraham police said in a press release. First responders provided medical aid to those who were seriously injured in the crash, but one of the drivers was declared dead after being rushed to Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.
