HOLYOKE – After a previous 2-1 loss against Bristol on Thursday night, the Valley Blue Sox looked to get back into the win column against the last-place Danbury Westerners. In memos to the Town Clerk dated July 9, 2024, Town Manager Paul Bockelman nominated Town Finance Director Melissa Zawadski to fill openings on the Jones Library and Elementary School Building Committees, and 25 people as reappointments to town boards, commissions, and committees. The nominations were unanimously approved on the consent agenda of the Town Council at their meeting on July 15.
North Adams Council to Vote on Greylock School Project
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The City Council will take up a borrowing authorization for the $65 million Greylock School project at a special meeting on Monday. If it is approved, there will be a ballot vote for a debt exclusion in September for the city's $20 million portion of the cost.
