    The Capital Grille opens next month in Newtown. What to know before you go

    The Capital Grille is opening its first Bucks County location next month.

    The fine dining restaurant and upscale steakhouse announced Tuesday it will opens its doors in the Village at Newtown shopping center in Newtown Township on Sept. 8.

    Boasting an emphasis on “personalized and anticipatory service in a relaxing, yet elegant atmosphere,” The Capital Grille is best known for its dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and fine wines.

    The new restaurant spans 8,562 square feet, including a lounge and three private spaces for events, and includes iconic Capital Grille features, such as its chrome lions, an expansive wine cellar and a wall of clocks representing the times in the financial capitals around the world.

    At its helm is managing partner Michael Callahan who celebrates 14 years with The Capital Grille, originally starting as a server.

    “I am excited about bringing The Capital Grille to Bucks County, where I grew up. Welcoming my community in for an exceptional dining experience holds a special meaning to me,” Callahan said in a press release.

    The Capital Grille joins several other restaurants and retailers in the center, including McCaffrey’s Food Market, Ulta Beauty, Harvest Seasonal Grill, Turning Point, Iron Hill Brewery, Bomba Taco + Bar, Nothing Bundt Cakes, MOD Pizza, Chopt, Crumbl Cookies, Árdana and Bobby Chez Gourmet To-Go.

    Dry-aged steaks and more on The Capital Grille menu

    Hand-carved daily by the restaurant’s butcher, its steaks are dry aged in-house for 18-24 days for enhanced flavor and tenderness. Signature steakhouse items include:

    • Dry Aged Bone-in NY Strip
    • Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 15-Year Aged Balsamic
    • Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence

    Additionally, The Capital Grille’s extensive dinner menu includes a range of classic dishes to a twist on appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts. Here’s a sample of other popular items:

    • Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers
    • Lobster Mac ‘N’ Cheese; and
    • Lobster and Crab Cakes
    • The Capital Grille Cheesecake served brûlée style
    • Coconut Cream Pie

    Personalized services at The Capital Grille include private wine lockers

    Private wine lockers are available by annual lease, which provides aficionados with brass nameplates, specially procured wines and exclusive access to private events and tastings.

    The Capital Grille offers a list of more than 350 selections, housed in a temperature-controlled wine cellar holding more than 3,000 bottles, according to the press release.

    “Guests may also choose from 30 wines rarely offered by the glass, including library vintages and highly sought after limited bottlings. Through continuous wine training, servers can make personalized recommendations for guests to choose their perfect pairings,” it stated.

    The Capital Grille is now hiring at its Newtown location

    Providing for 90 new jobs at its Newtown location, open positions at The Capital Grille currently include bartender, cold station cook, dishwasher, food runner, host, restaurant manager, saute/broiler cook, server and server assistant.

    When is The Capital Grill in Newtown open

    Starting Sept. 8, The Capital Grille in Newtown is open daily for dinner with the following hours:

    • Sunday: 5-9 p.m.
    • Monday: 4-9 p.m.
    • Tuesday: 4-9 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 4-9 p.m.
    • Thursday: 4-9 p.m.
    • Friday: 4-10 p.m.
    • Saturday: 4-10 p.m.

    Complimentary valet available. Reservations are recommended but not required.
