    Al Roker hits the road this fall for his book tour. Here's how to see him in Bucks County

    What’s the forecast for this fall in Bucks County?

    Sunny with a chance of Al Roker — at least for those seeing the famed meteorologist at Delaware Valley University on Oct. 19.

    Roker and his daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, are making a stop in Doylestown Township as part of their tour promoting their new cookbook book, “Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By: Easy, Memory-Making Family Dishes for Every Occasion.”

    “An Evening with Al Roker & Courtney Roker Laga” will take place Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Delaware Valley University’s Life Sciences building at 700 East Butler Avenue in Doylestown. Doors open at 6 p.m.

    Hosted by Doylestown & Lahaska Bookshops, the ticketed event features a live and in-person conversation with Roker and Laga led by local author and sports columnist Mike Sielski.

    Tickets are $42 and include admission to the talk and one hardcover copy of the book. After the event, Roker and Laga will be available to personalize books.

    Who is Al Roker?

    Al Roker, one of America’s most beloved weatherman, has been a pillar of morning television for more than three decades. The 70-year-old is currently the weather and feature host of NBC’s “Today Show” — a team he joined in 1996 — and also the co-host of “3rd Hour of Today.”

    Throughout his 50-year broadcasting career, he has covered some of history’s worst natural disasters, including Hurricane Wilma, Hurricane Isaac, Superstorm Sandy and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

    Roker is the recipient of the American Meteorological Society’s Seal of Approval, was recognized as a pioneer in the use of computer graphics in weather-casting, was named best weatherman twice by New York magazine and won three Daytime Emmy Awards as part of Today’s recognition as the best morning newscast.

    Roker is also a bestselling author with 12 other books, which include “The Morning Show Murders,” “Al Roker’s Big Bad Book of Barbecue,” and “The Storm of the Century.”

    He lives in Manhattan with his wife, ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts, and has one son and two daughters, including Laga.

    Al Roker and Courtney Roker Laga’s new book features family recipes

    For his latest book, Roker teamed up with his daughter, Laga — a recipe developer and trained chef who has worked in two Michelin-starred restaurants — to share generations-long family favorites.

    The cookbook features 100 original and kitchen-tested dishes for every occasion, including:
