2024-05-21The District One, District 12 and Philadelphia Catholic League championships were contested last week, and Bucks Country area athletes cleaned up. Check out the top performances here, and be sure to vote for the Boys Playoff Performer of the Week and Girls Playoff Performer of the Week , beginning Tuesday at 6 p.m. Also, check out the top performances in lacrosse, volleyball, baseball and softball.
Top Performances in Girls Track & Field:
Gwen Hamilton, Archbishop Wood
The sophomore added four more gold medals to her collection at the PCL and District 12 championships. Hamilton took first place in the girls 800-meter (2:24.15) and mile (5:24.45) runs at the PCL championships, and she won the 800 meters (2:11.84) and 1,600 meters (4:56.39) in District 12 Class 3A.
Abby Muelenberg, Archbishop Wood
She took home a pair of silver medals with a second-place finish in the girls discus at both the PCL and District 12 3A championships.
Kate McManus, Lansdale Catholic
The junior won gold at the PCL championships, finishing first in the girls 3,200-meter run (12:22.78). She placed fourth in the event at districts.
Joanie Lauer, Lansdale Catholic
The senior took third place in the girls discus at both the PCL and District 12 championships.
Tammy Ellis, Bristol
The freshman cleaned up at the District One Class 2A championships, winning gold in the girls 100-meter dash (12.60) and 200-meter dash (26.55), and silver in the long jump (16-6.25)
Olivia Mozzone, Dock Mennonite
She won the girls pole vault at the District 1 2A championships.
Naava Richlin, New Hope-Solebury
She won the 800-meter run (2:26.85) at the District 1 2A championships.
Mimi Duffy, CB West
The senior took first place in the 400-meter run with a time of 55.25 at the District One 3A championships, and she was third in the 100-meter dash (12.15).
Lillian DiCola, Hatboro-Horsham
The junior won the District One 3A 3,200-meter run in 10:51.38.
Destini Smith, Souderton
She won gold in the triple jump (41-10.5) at the District One 3A championships. She finished second in both the high jump (5-5) and long jump (18-4).
Zianna Dobson, North Penn
The junior was the winner of the District One 3A girls discus with her 135-1 throw, and she finished third in the javelin (125-1).
Angela Manila, Upper Moreland
The won the District One 3A girls javelin with a mark of 139-2.
Lanae Carrington, Harry S. Truman
The senior took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles (44.96) at the District One 3A championships.
Madison Gee, North Penn
The senior was second in the District One 3A girls triple jump (37-10.25), and eighth in the long jump.
Kira Moses, Pennsbury
She took home silver in the shot put (37-0) at the District One 3A championships.
Jaidyn Wiseley, Neshaminy
The senior claimed fifth place in the high jump, reaching 5-3 at the District One 3A championships.
Riley Rooney, CB South
The junior impressed at the District One 3A championships, plus finished second in the 1,600-meter run (4:52.62) and fourth in the 800-meter run (2:11.56).
Mia Rivera, CB East
The junior finished second in the javelin (126-0) at the District One 3A championships.

Top Performances in Boys Track & Field:
Bobby Franklin, La Salle
The freshman took home two gold medals as he won the boys 1,600-meter run (4:21.27) at the District 12 3A championships, and the mile run (4:21.26) at the PCL championships.
Will Palopoli, La Salle
The senior won the boys 3,200-meter run at both the District 12 and PCL championships, running a season-best 9:26.98 at districts.
Gavin Muller, La Salle
He took first place in the boys discus at both the PCL and District 12 championships, and finished third in the PCL high jump and shot put.
Albert Funk, Archbishop Wood
He finished third in the boys 800-meter run at the District 12 3A championships.
Terrance Smith, Lansdale Catholic
The freshman had a great showing at the PCL championships, finishing second in the boys discus (132-1) and fourth in the shot put (41-11).
Robert Ulsh, Faith Christian
The senior won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.65 at the District 1 2A championships, and was second in the 300-meter hurdles (42.81).
Aidan Maue, Souderton
He finished second in the District One 3A 3,200-meter run with a season best time of 9:09.90.
Jalen Gaymon, North Penn
He took second place in the shot put (53-8) and fourth in the discus (151-7) at the District One 3A championships.
Marc Cobbs, North Penn
He finished third in the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 10.84 at the District One 3A championships.
Justin Landis, North Penn
The sophomore finished fourth in the District One 3A 1,600-meter run (4:15.82) and sixth in the 3,200-meter run (9:14.83).
Jaidyn White, Pennsbury
The senior ended up fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.17 at the District One 3A championships.
Lucas Poliseno, CR North
The sophomore finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.53 at the District One 3A championships.
Brady Ott, CR North
The senior had an impressive showing at the District One 3A championships, finishing second in the 1,600-meter run (4:13.65) and third in the 3,200-meter run (9:10.33).
Lucas Knappenberger, CB South
He finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 13-0 at the District One 3A championships.
Luke Coleman, Abington
He ended up third in the 400-meter run with a time of 48.84 at the District One 3A championships.
Nate Fehrman, CB West
The senior took second place in the District One 3A boys 800-meter run, running a season best 1:53.53.
Jacob Tannenbaum, CB East
He finished second in the discus (159-10) at the District One 3A championships.
Roman Messina, CB East
The senior claimed second place in the District One 3A boys 300-meter hurdles with a speedy time of 38.6.
