If only this golf course existed that had all of the great holes from the Bucks County area in one place.
It would be a public course (and we're only using public courses for this wish list) that everyone could play. And holes that everyone would know.
As great as courses like the Architect’s Golf Club in Phillipsburg, N.J. and World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach, S.C are, their collection of replica holes is culled mainly from private courses — courses and holes most folks have never played.
Our course brings the best of public golf in the area to one place — granted, it's a place that doesn't exist — but a fun exercise, nonetheless.
It plays to a par 71, and has four par threes on the back side, but we'll live with it.
So what would it look like?
Northampton Valley Country Club
Hole No. 1: Well, fittingly, it's No. 1 at Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro (par 4, 328 yards): This hole is wide open and lets you take a rip with little fear of losing your ball on the first tee (a feeling no golfer wants).
Fox Hollow Golf Club
Hole No. 2: It's No. 10 at Fox Hollow Golf Club in Quakertown (par 4, 390 yards). We gave you an easy start to your round, but here you need an accurate tee shot to set up an approach that is straight uphill. Reach this green in two and you've accomplished something.
Fairways Golf Club
Hole No. 3: It's No. 15 at Fairways Golf Club in Warrington (par 3, 113 yards). A nice, short par 3 is always a good test. A par 3 doesn't have to be 180 yards to challenge a golfer.

Makefield Highlands Golf Club
Hole No. 4: It's No. 7 at Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley (par 5, 642 yards). You knew a long par 5 was coming up and this monster fits the bill. There's water down the left side and a lot of golf hole in front of you.
Lederach Golf Course
Hole No. 5: It's No. 4 at Lederach Golf Course in Harleysville (par 4, 424 yards). Bomb a nice drive here and you still have a long, and blind, approach shot. Also, keep your approach to the right side because of a greenside bunker on the left.
PineCrest Country Club
Hole No. 6: It's No. 11 at PineCrest Country Club in Lansdale (par 3, 160 yards). You have to carry a pond on this one, but beware, it plays longer than the yardage.
Bensalem Township Country Club
Hole No. 7: It's No. 16 at Bensalem Township Country Club in Bensalem (par 5, 515 yards). This hole doglegs left off the tee and then comes back right to a well-protected green.
Five Ponds Golf Club
Hole No. 8: It's, again fittingly, No. 8 at Five Ponds Golf Club in Warminster (par 4, 448 yards). Woods run down the whole left side and your landing area off the tee is tight. The approach is uphill, so use more stick because it plays long.

Wedgewood Golf Club
Hole No. 9: It's No. 5 (on the Pine nine) at Wedgewood Golf Club in Coopersburg (par 4, 236 yards). A nice hole to finish your front side with since, with a good drive, you can reach the green and have an eagle putt. Beware, though, of a little stream that cuts in front of the green.

Neshaminy Valley Golf Club
Hole No. 10: It's No. 2 at Neshaminy Valley Golf Club in Jamison (par 5, 529 yards). There are woods down the left side that can hurt you and the tee shot is a bit uphill on this straightaway hole. And, after your second shot, you need to ring the bell to let the group behind you know that you've moved on.
Bensalem Township Country Club
Hole No. 11: It's No. 14 at Bensalem Township Country Club (par 3, 225 yards). Drive this uphill bear with a green that slopes back to front and is well guarded by bunkers and you'll have a story to tell.
Middletown Country Club
Hole No. 12: It's No. 1 at Middletown Country Club in Langhorne (par 4, 411 yards). With trees and OB down the right side and a second shot that plays longer than the yardage to a green that slopes away from you, this hole is a challenge from start to finish.
Mainland Golf Course
Hole No. 13: It's No. 17 at Mainland Golf Course in Harleysville (par 3, 181 yards). From an elevated tee, your ball hangs in the air forever, but has to carry a creek near the front of the green. It plays a little shorter than the yardage due to the elevation change.
Five Ponds Golf Club
Hole No. 14: It's No. 12 at Five Ponds Golf Club (par 5, 517 yards). Long and narrow with OB on the left, this is a three-shot hole to get to the green unless you hit two bombs straight as an arrow.
Wedgewood Golf Club
Hole No. 15: It's No. 6 (on the Pine nine) at Wedgewood Golf Club (par 3, 118 yards). Another short par 3 that can drive you crazy especially after coming off a tough par 5. Remember, golf ain't easy.
Fox Hollow Golf Club
Hole No. 16: It's No. 15 at Fox Hollow Golf Club (par 5, 630 yards). No need to play this "Golfzilla" from the back tees. Play it from the whites and, if you can, hammer two shots to get to the landing area which is well below the fairway. Then hit your approach up a hill to a nasty green and pray for a two putt. Yes, this one is as hard as it sounds.
Northampton Valley Country Club
Hole No. 17: It's No. 18 at Northampton Valley Country Club (par 3, 207 yards). This is the finishing hole at Northampton and it's a good one. There's a carry over water and it plays plenty long.
The Bucks Club
Hole No. 18: It's No. 18 (yet again, fittingly) at The Bucks Club in Jamison (par 4, 442 yards). A nice way to finish your round unless you dump your approach shot on this hard dogleg right in the pond that guards a tough green. Try not to do that.
