Careworker Faked Cancer After Stealing From Seniors
A careworker stole thousands of dollars from her elderly clients before pretending she had cancer in an effort to delay her trial. Shannon Lynn Eberhart, 48, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to two counts of financial exploitation and one count of identity theft, and will now spend up to two years in the Bucks County Correctional Facility. Concrete beam on its way to new home
An immense concrete bridge beam took up both lanes of Route 61 south in Schuylkill Haven on Thursday morning on its way to Bucks County. Manufactured at Northeast Prestressed Products in Cressona, the 105-foot beam weighing 71 tons was one of four destined for a highway improvement project on Route 1 at the Neshaminy and Penndel interchanges. Evan Fink, Northeast’s sales manager, said the largest of the beams measured 150 feet long and weighed 103 tons.
