1 killed, 1 injured in 2-vehicle crash in Seneca County

TIFFIN — The Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an early-morning crash that killed a Bucyrus, Ohio, man Friday.

Dylan E. Schiets, 20, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, was driving south on State Rt. 53 near Seneca County Road 38 around 5:40 a.m. Friday when he crossed the center line and collided with a northbound car being driven by John P. Lunsford, 56, of Bucyrus, Ohio, officials said.

Mr. Lunsford died at the scene. Mr. Schiets suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center by air ambulance.
