Niagara Falls Man Pleads Guilty to Murdering Woman in Motel Room

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls man has admitted to second-degree murder in the death of a woman found in a motel room on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Brian Wallace, 37, pleaded guilty to killing 38-year-old Lauren Hayes in February 2023, according to the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office. Niagara Falls police discovered Hayes' body in the motel room, leading to Wallace's arrest and charges.

“This was a horrific crime, and the defendant deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail,” stated Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman in a press release.

Wallace is scheduled for sentencing on September 3, where he faces 20 years to life in prison.
