3-year-old killed, 7-year-old injured in Buffalo shooting

A 3-year-old boy was killed and his 7-year-old sister was injured following a shooting Friday night in Buffalo.

Officers were dispatched to the first block of Domedion Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Buffalo Police said two children were shot during an outdoor gathering.

Both children were taken to the hospital. According to Buffalo Police, the 3-year-old boy later died at ECMC and his 7-year-old sister is being treated at Oishei Children's Hospital.

On Saturday, police identified the boy as 3-year-old Ramone Carter and said he was killed while riding a tricycle with his sister.

“Amazing kid, didn’t do anybody no harm, and this is very devastating,” Martina Carter, Ramone’s oldest sister told 7 News. “I would have never thought a 3-year-old baby playing outside at a graduation party would be in a miss-fire, shot and killed.”

Loved ones and neighbors honored Carter. The young boy was shot and killed in Buffalo Friday night while playing outside with his 7-year-old sister.
