Buffalo Sabres announce 2024 preseason schedule

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Sabres announced their 2024 preseason schedule on Monday morning. They will play six games this year including two games against divisional opponents and four games against opponents in the Metropolitan Division.

The team will open up the preseason with two home games against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets. Following that, they'll head on the road for three games visiting the Penguins and the Blue Jackets along with the Ottawa Senators. Finally they'll close out the preseason at home against the Detroit Red Wings.

Along with their normal NHL Preseason games, the Sabres are also taking part in the NHL Global Series this year which includes an exhibition match against Red Bull Munich of the DEL on September 27th. Logistics are unclear on which Sabres players will be taking part in the exhibition in Germany.

Following the conclusion of the preseason, the final roster will all be present in Prauge, Czechia for the season opening series against the New Jersey Devils.
