Bills WR Mack Hollins is a different cat, but his coaches love him

The Buffalo Bills’ new receiving corps is going to take some getting used to from the fans as the Bills continue training camp. Amongst the new wideouts is former Atlanta Falcon and Las Vegas Raider, Mack Hollins, who hasn’t been hard to find on the practice field.

Hollins has been pretty easy to spot with his long, thick hair and his undershirt cut up in strands like he’s one of The Ultimate Warrior’s armbands.

Hollins is somewhat of a "free spirit" if you will. Which is a modern way of saying "hippie." After practice, Hollins was asked why he doesn't wear shoes.

"Shoes are a tool, Hollins said. "You don't walk around with a hammer."

It hasn’t taken Hollins long to earn the trust and respect of his coaches, though. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady highlighted Hollins as someone who will be very important for Buffalo this season, and a player he views as one of his favorites.

“[He’s] one of my favorite players,” Brady said. “Honestly, probably one of my favorite people I’ve ever met… Mack Hollins is gonna be a stud for us, both on the field and off.”

Hollins had only 18 catches in 2023 with the Falcons. His career-best season thus far came in 2022 with the Raiders where he caught 57 passes and four touchdowns. The Bills are hoping they get that guy in 2024.
