Tennessee Tech Sets All-Time Record for Research Funding, Topping $46 Million for Fiscal Year 2024
Tennessee Tech University set an all-time record for externally funded research for the fourth year in a row, according to university administrators. The university topped $46 million in externally funded research in fiscal year 2024, supported by nearly 200 research activations. The total figure for the fiscal year, which ended June 30, surpasses Tech’s previous record by $10 million and marks the achievement of one of the university’s long-held strategic goals a year ahead of schedule.

Restrictions Changed For Relative Caregiver Program
A new state law reduces the requirements needed for families to become eligible for the Relative Caregiver Program (RCP). UCDD Case Manager Marcia Riddle said the change allows relatives with any court order to enroll in the program instead of requiring a final order. Riddle said she thinks it is a positive change because they have a lot of people in the region who are now able to access the program.
