Man allegedly connected to Northport murder one year ago turns himself in to authorities
NORTHPORT, Ala. (WBRC) - A major follow-up Wednesday in a Northport murder that happened nearly a year ago. First, a recap. It happened on September 24th, 2023, on Lake Drive West. Authorities say that’s where Demetrius Windham was ambushed on his grandmother’s front porch that night. Two weeks later, investigators arrested Antwaun Pledger-Payton. Now, the second suspect turned himself in over the weekend to the Tuscaloosa County jail.
