    Crowder’s Joey Morton Announces Commitment to Campbell University

    NEOSHO, MO — Crowder First Baseman Joey Morton announced on Saturday he will be taking his talents to Division I program Campbell University.

    Campbell is part of the FCS and play in the Coastal Athletic Association.

    Morton had a big season for the Roughriders. He played in 60 games and hit with a .384 batting average.

    He knocked 15 home-runs and drove in 90 RBI’s.

    Morton also had a on-base percentage of .464 and a slugging percentage of .652.

    For his big season, Morton was honored by the NJCAA Division I Baseball Committee receiving Honorable Mention All-American Honors.
