Community celebrates Independence Day with Blast Over Bullard

BULLARD, Texas ( KETK ) – The East Texans over in Bullard were having an explosively good time with their annual Blast Over Bullard July 4th community celebration on Saturday.

“So I think it really brings our community out together. We really missed it during COVID, it was something that everyone missed and was really yearning for,” said Raiven Allen, the city events director for Bullard. “And before then, obviously, everyone says that there’s not a lot that happens in Bullard, everyone shuts down at nine. Well these types of events that are annual everyone gets to look forward to and see their friends and family at that, they don’t get to see all the time, they all meet up here.”

The event featured bounce houses, local food, vendors, live music and their annual Kids Bike Brigade bike decorating contest. Later when the sun went down everyone got to sit back and watch their fireworks show.

Bullard Fire Department also unveiled their new brush truck to the community at the event.
