18-year-old arrested in shooting that wounded 4 teens
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita police announced the arrest of an 18-year-old man in a shooting that wounded four other teens in the 2300 block of E. Murdock on July 11. Sedgwick County Jail booking reports show Travon Johnson was arrested for the shooting. His charges include aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

PONCA CITY — Ranch Drive, Blackwell and Tonkawa are celebrating the purchases of new fire trucks. Blackwell and Ranch Drive used funds collected through the Kay County Fire Sales Tax that was passed on Nov. 8, 2022, (see story) for the purchases. Fire to duplex north of Newman University prompts strong emergency response
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A fire at a duplex in a neighborhood near Newman University prompted a strong emergency response Friday night. The initial emergency call reported the possibility of someone being trapped in the home in the 700 block of South Custer. Responding crews with the Wichita Fire Department cleared the scene and Sedgwick County dispatch confirmed that no one was injured.
Kansas man arrested in connection to murder of 63-year-old man
