Wichita police arrest suspect in shooting that wounded 4 teens
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection to a shooting that injured four teenagers earlier this month. Sedgwick County Jail records show Travon Johnson was booked Thursday for three counts of aggravated assault, four counts of aggravated battery, five counts of criminal damage to property, failure to appear, and a hold on a 2023 juvenile case.

Bredbenner Adds Two Freshmen to Signing Class
WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State head softball coach Kristi Bredbenner announced the addition of two freshmen to the 2024 signing class, and will report to campus next month. Both from the state of Texas, Gabby Scott (C/OF) and Ryley Nihart (RHP) push the incoming freshman class to six signees. They join Catelyn Beckerley, Brookelyn Livanec, Morgan Lloyd and Ava Sliger who signed with the Shockers last fall.
Wichita State Shockers Set For Thanksgiving Hoops at Disney
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State men’s basketball will spend Thanksgiving participating in the 2024 ESPN Events Invitational at the Walt Disney World Resort, Nov. 28-29.
