Houston area athletes make up half of Texas’ Paris 2024 Paralympians
Of the 225 U.S. athletes who will begin competing this week in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, 10 are from Texas, with five from Houston or the surrounding area. In competitions ranging from wheelchair basketball to air rifle shooting, several Houstonian athletes, or those with ties to the area, are hoping to bring home a medal from this year's Paralympic Games.
