Bismarck man sentenced to 18 months for attempted rape and other charges
BURLEIGH COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - A Burleigh County judge sentenced a Bismarck man to 18 months in prison for attempted rape, terrorizing and other charges. Police say the victim told them Brandon Clown attempted to rape her, then assaulted and threatened to kill her. Officers say Clown denied the altercation.
Burleigh County Canvassing Board certifies local election results
The Burleigh County Canvassing Board certified primary election results on Monday, including some absentee ballots that were not postmarked. The election saw over 17,800 ballots cast -- more than the previous election (13,378) but fewer than the 2020 June primary (22,623). Voter turnout was 23.5% in Burleigh County, which was higher than the state voter turnout at 20.1%.
