    Power outages affect parts of Burlington

    BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — Parts of Burlington are without power, the Burlington Police Department says.

    According to a Facebook post made Monday, electricity went out this morning.

    According to the Duke Energy website , nearly 3,000 customers in the Alamance Acres and Westview areas are without power.

    Duke Energy reports the outage was caused by equipment going offline. The estimated restoration time is 5:15 p.m.

    BPD advises drivers to use caution when approaching intersections. If there is not an officer directing traffic, treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
