Franklin Street Starbucks Temporarily Closed; New Location to Open Friday
The Starbucks location at 103 East Franklin Street temporarily closed its doors Sunday as the business moves to a larger storefront across the street. Located underneath Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery at 100 East Franklin Street, the new location is tentatively set to open Friday at 6 a.m, ahead of the new UNC school year. Renovations for the space began in 2019, which was previously occupied by Medici, a Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant.

Chapel Hill Tire director of training earns World Class ASE Certification
Mike Storey, the director of training at Chapel Hill Tire, has earned his World Class ASE Certification. The World Class ASE Certification is among the highest honors in the automotive service industry and requires passing a series of exams covering a range of automotive systems and repair techniques. In 2023, only 44 individuals received this certification.
