BURLINGTON, ND ( KXNET ) — There’s a new coffee shop in Burlington and the owner hopes neighbors find it a welcoming place.

UFFDA Bean Coffee opened in April, but owner Anita Pease has had the idea for decades.

For now, the shop just has a small menu with espressos, lotus energy drinks, teas, and cold brews.

Pease is working on some dirty soda options, which are sodas with some extra flavoring and a cream base.

She also hopes to add some breakfast items and baked goods to the menu in a few months.

“Some of the Norwegian baking like the traditional stuff we grew up when our great grandmothers and great aunts and stuff always made. Like the krumkakaes, the sandbakkels, rosettes those types of things, that not a lot of people make anymore,” said Pease.

Weekdays, UFFDA Bean is open from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They’re available for special events, and they also have a patio to enjoy on nice days.
