A national organization, charged with electing Democratic lawmakers to state legislatures, announced it was spotlighting two Oklahoma races this year. The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee said it was targeting Erin Brewer in Senate District 47 and Chaunté Gilmore in House District 100. OWASSO, OKLA (KTUL) — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 has chosen Shannon Chatwin from Owasso High School as the Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators (PIAEE) recipient. Mrs. Chatwin has taught Advanced Placement environmental science for over a decade and has implemented exciting projects and field trips.
Three new assistant principals hired at Po-Hi
PONCA CITY — Clark Crawford, Kaitlyn Pressnall and Kimberly Stafford are joining the Ponca City Schools District as assistant principals at Ponca City High School. Crawford is a graduate of Kingfisher High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Oklahoma and his master’s degree at East Central University in Ada. He worked as assistant principal and summer school principal at Yukon Public Schools. Prior to that he was a teacher and team leader at Choctaw/Nicoma Park Schools in Choctaw.
