BHS Knowledge Bowl teams open season

Recently, the Burlington High School Knowledge Bowl team attended its first in-person meet of the 2021-2022 season hosted by Swink. Burlington had both A and B teams. The A Team posted a written score of 16, followed by three oral round scores of 0, 3 and 4 for a total score of 23 and 11th place. Read more

Holyoke spoils Cougars’ football homecoming

Continuing their up-and-down season, the Burlington Cougars were down Friday night, dropping their homecoming contest to visiting Holyoke 34-12 at Consbruck Field. The loss dropped the Cougars to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the Class 1A North Central League, while the Dragons, ranked No. 8 in the state, improved to 4-1 and 1-0. Read more

The Burlington Lady Cougars volleyball team split a pair of matches Thursday and Friday. They swept Flagler 3-0 on Thursday, winning 25-17, 25-20, 25-16 before getting swept 3-0 Friday by Holyoke, falling 25-16, 25-23, 25-15.
