Killeen police investigate seventh murder in the city
KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen Police are investigating the city's seventh murder this year after a 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound on Monday. Officers responded to a call at approximately 2:31 p.m. on July 15, 2024, in the 600 block of Avenue I, where they discovered the victim inside a residence. Justice of the Peace Nicola James estimated the time of death at 4:19 p.m. The victim's name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
