UVM women’s hockey announces newest additions

BURLINGTON, VT – UVM women’s hockey announced its additions for the upcoming winter season on Friday.

The group includes three true freshman forwards, one redshirt freshman defender, josie hemp, who scored 39 points in 29 games during her senior year of high school. Sophomore defender Ashley Kokavec, who transfers in from Maine scored 11 points in 31 games for the Black Bears last season. The Catamounts also snag a redshirt senior goalie: Jane Gervais played for Wisconsin last season posting a 24-5 record… This will sure up the teams’ goalie room which lost everyday goalie Jessie McPherson to the transfer portal… Finally, the cats add two grad skaters who have each played well over 100 games for their previous schools…
