HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) - Vermont swept the Lions Cup Soccer All-Star Games against New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon at Hanover High school. South Burlington star Omar Daoudi tallied a hat trick for the boys in their 5-2 victory, while fellow SBHS Wolf Rachel Kelley tallied the only goal in a 1-0 Vermont girls win.
75-year-old Grand Isle man cited for assaulting 20-year-old in road rage incident
SOUTH HERO, Vt. — A 75-year-old man from Grand Isle was cited following a road rage incident Saturday evening, according to Vermont State Police. Coach Tara Backes's softball team hasn't seen any serious competition all weekend at the State Tourney in Evergreen Park. Backes told us the 8 – 10 year old All-Stars beat Twin Rivers – in the early game Saturday – 10 – 0. Ekko Baima had a triple and eight out of eleven players provided hits. Quinn Holman pitched three innings and Maeve Brandt pitched one inning in the four inning game.
