FHLBank Chicago Announces $50 Million in Interest Rate Subsidies to Expand Community Building Impact
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 16, 2024-- The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago) is providing $50 million in interest rate subsidies to help expand affordable housing, economic development, and community partnerships in Illinois and Wisconsin through its new Community Impact Advance Pilot Program. This Program provides an up to two percent reduction in interest rates on advances, which are secured loans, to help FHLBank Chicago member financial institutions support their customers and amplify the impact they are making in their communities. Finally drying out as temps drop but humidity lingers
Parts of southeast Wisconsin saw heavy rain and storms Monday evening as the northern edge of a line of storms across the Midwest pushed east. Those storms dropped a lot of rain in Kenosha County and the surrounding area with over 3" of rain in the city of Kenosha leading to brief flooding. other areas, especially north of I-94 got around a quarter inch of rain or less.
