Montana Shakespeare in the Parks bring Hamlet to Afton
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, in collaboration with the Star Valley Arts Council, is bringing Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy, “Hamlet,” to the stage on the lawns of the Kodiak Mountain Resort, located in Afton at 82717 US-89 on Monday, July 29 at 6 p.m. A preshow, featuring local musicians, begins at 5:15. Admission to any MSIP production is always free.
Blayne Brink Wins With ASCS Northern Plains At Casper Speedway
Collecting career win No. 2 with the ASCS Northern Plains Region on Friday night, Blayne Brink sped to victory in the Vince Novotny Classic at Wyoming’s Casper Speedway. Brink’s first triumph of the 2024 season, the Western Winds Concrete No. 14, took the green from the right of the front row and kept pace ahead of Kyler Johnson for the win. Moving up four spots, Montana’s Jeremy McCune grabbed third, with Cody Masse and Kelly Miller making up the top five.

CHEYENNE, Wyo., July 26, 2024 — Two rides in the rare 90-point range highlighted Semi Finals 1 at the 128th Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo (CFD) on Friday. Newly crowned collegiate all-around and bull riding champion Wacey Schalla of Arapaho, Oklahoma, became the first bull rider at Frontier Park this year to score above 90 points. Schalla was matched with Dakota Rodeo’s bull Sneaky Situation for the second time this month.
