Finance gets top award
Finance gets top award Raymond V. Whelan Staff Writer Wed, 03/01/2023 - 02:28 Image Body Recently, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada bestowed its highest award upon the Burnet Finance Department. Last month, association officials announced the city department accepted its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. “It is the fourth year for the department to receive the distinguished award,” Burnet City Secretary Kelly Dix said. In particular, the association applauded Burnet finance officials for the total soundness of their Fiscal Year 2021 financial report. “The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program,” according to the Association press release. The Burnet department headed by Finance Director Patricia Langford also includes senior accountants Sandra Graves and Stefani Wright.
