Nelson’s Catering and Fundraising is well-known and loved throughout Indiana. Now, they’re coming to Chesterton! On Saturday, August 24, the Trojan Guard Marching Band and Nelson’s Chicken are coming together to fundraise. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or until the chicken runs out, people can buy some of Nelson’s chicken at Hopkin’s Ace Hardware in Chesterton. It’s reasonably priced too! To get half a chicken, it’s only $10. For their potatoes, it’s only $5. But how much does the Trojan Guard earn from this fundraiser? They give around $3.75 back to the band for each chicken sold. For each potato sold, the band earns around $2. Be sure to come and support the Trojan Guard at Ace Hardware this Saturday!
