CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Illinois $430,251,378 from the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant to fund projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. One person is dead and two more were injured in a shooting in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood Monday afternoon, police said.The shooting happened near Cermak and Karlov on the West Side. A Wienermobile crashed into a vehicle and flipped on its side around lunchtime Monday on a busy Chicago-area highway. At 11:12 a.m., an Oscar Meyer Weinermobile was traveling in the northbound lanes of Interstate 294 just before Roosevelt Road when the Wienermobile driver struck a Hyundai Sedan, also traveling north, Illinois State Police said.
