Oregon 4-H Foundation agrees to sell Salem camp if nonprofit buyer can pay the bill
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The Oregon 4-H Foundation has agreed to sell a camp property in Salem to a new owner- if the would-be buyers can come up with the money in time. Oregon State University has managed the camps for more than 10 years (out of the 56 years the site has been open), and they announced last year that they no longer want to manage 4-H programming at the site. The Oregon 4-H Foundation then decided to seek out a buyer who would maintain operations, or else close down.

Dog's death believed the result of a toxic algae bloom off Sand Island

Oppenlander trial begins with attorneys throwing blame at one another
Lawyers for the city of West Linn and West Linn-Wilsonville School District set the stage for the trial over Oppenlander fields by casting blame at one another during opening arguments Tuesday, Aug. 13. Southern Oregon floating offshore wind clears one bureaucratic hurdle in a long process
Oregon’s coast is inching closer to generating renewable electricity using floating offshore wind turbines, though any construction is still years away. On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, or BOEM, announced it has finalized an environmental assessment. The assessment looked at potential impacts from issuing leases to develop floating offshore wind in the region. BOEM is the federal agency tasked with identifying, proposing and leasing the ocean areas.
