A new restaurant concept is making progress in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood, partner Tim Willard shared with Business Debut in a brief interview. Madeira Park will be a high energy wine bar and restaurant, whose culinary efforts will be led by James Beard awarded Chef Steven Slatterfield of Miller Union. Also on the team is Neal McCarthy of Miller Union.

Willard shared that the concept will open at: 644 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306, where they will have around 105 seats. Their space will include around 3,000 square feet between indoor and outdoor areas.

The concept, Willard said, is to bring a higher energy bar atmosphere that also emphasizes serving world class wines. Additionally, the menu will accommodate patrons with varied tastes, from those stopping in for a quick drink and an affordable snack to those aiming to make an evening of dining, drinking and enjoying company at Madeira Park.

Targeting an opening date in late 2024 or early 2025, Willard doesn't have operating hours to share yet; however, they will likely be open five to six days a week.

Willard shared that with neighbors like Tio Lucho's, Fishmonger and The Zero Co, Poncey-Highland is "an area of town that has been built out with some excellent hospitality and restaurateurs."

Look out for Madeira Park later this year or early next and follow them on Instagram.
