Dave's Hot Chicken Expanding in Jacksonville and Gainesville

Franchisee Andrew Hamerling is bringing several locations of Dave's Hot Chicken to Jacksonville and Gainesville. Hamerling, who also operates Jersey Mike's and several other franchises, has acquired the rights for Dave's Hot Chicken in the two markets, Hamerling shared with Business Debut.

The first location under Hamerling's ownership opened this past weekend at 3524 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608. Building on this success, a new location is now in the works for Jacksonville at 10261 River Marsh Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32246, Hamerling reported in an interview.

The Jacksonville restaurant is currently in the permitting phase and is reviewing bids from general contractors, he said. Hamerling is planning to open it before the end of the year. This location will offer seating for more than 80 customers across its indoor and outdoor spaces.

Hamerling's expansion plans don't stop with these two locations. He aims to open a minimum of five Dave's Hot Chicken restaurants over the next four years between Jacksonville and Gainesville.
