Hibachi Ninja Food Truck Eyes Brick and Mortar Expansion

Hibachi Ninja, a food truck offering takeout and delivery hibachi, has become a popular option in Atlanta since its launch on February 2nd, 2024, co-owner Melissa Calderon shared with Business Debut. Additionally, she reported that she and her husband, Terry Bracken, have been keeping an eye out for a brick and mortar location in Buckhead.

Calderon, originally from California, and Bracken, from Atlanta, decided to launch Hibachi Ninja after noticing a lack of quick-service hibachi concepts in Atlanta. The menu is relatively simple: takeout and delivery hibachi-style steak, chicken, shrimp or salmon. On the side, you can get fried or white rice or a ginger salad. The business uses only organic and raw vegetables, homemade sauces and homemade garlic butter, Calderon said.

Currently, the food truck operates at 405 Pharr Road NE Atlanta, Georgia, 30305. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 pm to 12:00 am, and Friday and Saturday from 6:30 pm until they sell out.

Due to their growing success, Calderon and Bracken are now exploring options for a brick-and-mortar location in Buckhead. With a storefront in Buckhead, they would station the food truck more permanently in Midtown, Calderon said.

A timeline for expanding isn't available yet. Calderon reported to Business Debut that they are scouting for the right location currently.
