SmokeShow Southern Style BBQ to Open Permanent Restaurant in Evans

SmokeShow Southern Style BBQ is set to open a permanent location at 4275 Washington Rd, Evans, GA 30809, co-owner Will Dunaway told Business Debut. The popular food trucks, which have been serving Augusta since 2016, are making the leap to a full-scale restaurant.

Their website shares that the business was founded by four high school friends who share a passion for creating authentic BBQ using family recipes. Dunaway continues to run the business with longtime friends Jermel Bennett and Jake Wood.

The team plans to begin demolition at the new site in September, with an estimated nine-month construction period to follow, Dunaway said. They're aiming to open before the next football season, creating a space that will seat approximately 100 diners and offer a bar.

While construction is underway, one of SmokeShow's food trucks will operate outside the property. The current hours for this food truck are Monday 11am - 2pm, Tuesday-Thursday 11am - 4pm, Friday-Saturday 11am - 7pm, and Sunday 11am - 5pm.

The new restaurant will build on the food truck's popular menu, adding fried items, salads and weekend brunch options. Dunaway also mentioned plans for rotating specials.
