There are tons of great items I'd recommend at Pottery Barn.
    • As an interior designer, there are a few things I'd recommend getting from Pottery Barn .
    • The store's selection of lamps and accessories can add elegance and charm to a space.
    • If I had to recommend one thing from Pottery Barn, it would be the retailer's window treatments.

As an interior designer, Pottery Barn is my go-to for beautiful, high-quality pieces that stand the test of time.

The retailer, which has over 150 locations in the US , is known for its upscale home furnishings. The store's durable basics, which range from furniture and textiles to home accents and lighting, are perfect for creating cohesive spaces.

However, it can be hard to figure out exactly which items are worth investing in — and if you're among the many Americans spending less on items like furniture, it's important to be especially selective.

Here are eight items I'd get at Pottery Barn in a heartbeat.

Thanks to Pottery Barn, I never settle for window treatments that leave gaps or pool onto the floor.

The curtains at Pottery Barn feel high-quality but don't come with a hefty price tag.

If I could recommend one thing from Pottery Barn, it would have to be the store's curtains. Custom, high-quality curtains that perfectly fit into a space are hard to come by, especially if I'm trying to avoid a high price tag .

Many designers opt for custom-made curtains, which can sometimes cost between $1,500 to $4,000 per window. But, in my opinion, the curtains at Pottery Barn have a quality that rivals custom-made ones — and they typically cost about $150 to $500 per window.

The store carries window treatments that suit almost every style, from light, airy linen options to full blackout curtains. My favorites are the Belgian flax linen curtains , which have a worn-in look and feel.

Even better, the retailer sells adjustable rods that fit the width of a window without looking like they came from a big-box store.

The York slope deep-seat slipcovered sofa is both elegant and comfy.

I love the modern yet elegant feel of the York slope deep-seat slipcovered sofa.

The blissful feeling of sinking into a lush, luxurious sofa can't be beaten — it's the ultimate form of relaxation and comfort.

This York slope deep-seat slipcovered sofa is the perfect combination of modern and comfortable with a touch of sleek European style. The deep seat provides a roomy and comfortable lounging area.

This particular couch comes in sizes ranging from 60 to 108 inches wide. Pottery Barn even allows customers to personalize their sofa's seat and back cushions, fabric, and color.

The retailer also carries many durable performance-based fabrics, from basketweave to bouclé. The options truly seem endless.

I'd put the Fenton woven-leather dining chair in my home in a heartbeat.

I love the texture of the Fenton woven-leather dining chair.

These Fenton woven-leather dining chairs offer a modern and classic look.

I love it when neutral-colored chairs use textures and patterns to add interest and detail to the overall design. These chairs are sleek, comfortable, and seem built to last.

I'd pair them with a dark antique dining-room table.

I'm a huge fan of the selection of lamps at Pottery Barn.

Pottery Barn carries tons of floor and table lamps in various designs and colors.

If you're searching for an oversize, high-quality lamp , look no further than Pottery Barn's selection. The retailer carries lots of floor and table lamps, so you're likely to find one that adds the perfect ambiance to your space.

Though the lamps are beautiful, a lot of them come with a higher price tag — many cost about $200 to $300. So, when I'm on a budget, one of my favorite tricks is to buy a lampshade from Pottery Barn and install it on a cheaper lamp base.

The lampshades feel high quality and come in various sizes and colors that can easily elevate a space .

I love the details of the Toscana extending dining table.

The Toscana extending dining table is both beautiful and practical.

I like beautiful spaces, but I love practicality even more. Durable, elegant foundation pieces get a gold star in my design book.

The Toscana extending dining table gives spaces a Tuscan-farmhouse touch with X-shaped legs and a distressed top that adds extra detail.

It comes in a range of finishes, including vintage amber, Tuscan chestnut, gray wash, seadrift, and dusty charcoal.

The Remmy swivel armchair looks cozy and comfortable.

I'd use the Remmy swivel armchair to fill space in a living room.

This Remmy swivel armchair is a great choice for comfortable, cozy living-room furniture because it comes in various colors and fabrics.

I might get two chairs and place a side table in between for a comfortable and beautiful conversation area. Alternatively, I'd use it to fill a corner and create a cozy reading nook.

Overall, the chair feels well-made and will likely look great for many years to come.

I wouldn't overlook the accessories on display, either.

The accessories at Pottery Barn can add charm to a room.

If you ask me, the accessories section in Pottery Barn never misses. Whether I'm searching for antique-looking pots, ceramic vases, vintage candle holders, or paper-mache bowls, I can't go wrong.

Although some accessories are on the pricier side, I think of them as investment pieces. After all, details matter, and accessories can make or break a room.

I like to put fresh eucalyptus in Pottery Barn's vintage-looking pots to create a beautiful statement piece.

The Pismo reclaimed-wood console desk can serve as a chic workspace.

I love how versatile the Pismo reclaimed-wood console desk is.

I love to place a console table behind couches with an exposed back to anchor the space and add visual interest.

The Pismo reclaimed-wood console desk has two drawers, which can help minimize the inevitable clutter of any entryway table or workstation. I just love a beautiful piece of furniture with versatility.
