This orange creamsicle mocktail recipe is widely popular because it combines nostalgic flavors with a simple, non-alcoholic twist, making it suitable for all ages, kids and adults alike.

It’s incredibly easy to prepare, using common ingredients like orange juice and lemon-lime soda, which adds to its appeal.

Plus the option for customization and the inclusion of a dairy-free alternative cater to various dietary preferences, broadening its audience.

This delightful orange cream soda mocktail can be made in large quantities for holiday gatherings or prepared as a single serving for a cozy moment

    🍹 Ingredients

To create this mouthwatering orange creamsicle mocktail you only need 4 simple ingredients. Five if you count the completely optional garnishes.

    • Fresh Orange Juice
    • Ice Cubes – whole or crushed
    • Lemon-Lime Soda
    • Whipped Cream (homemade is my favorite, but store-bought works in a pinch.)

    🍊 Variations

    • For a Creamier Texture: Add a splash of cream or half-and-half for a richer, smoother mocktail.
    • Sugar-Free Option: Use sugar-free vanilla syrup and a diet or zero-calorie sparkling water for a healthier version.
    • Dairy-Free: Opt for coconut whipped cream as a garnish to keep the drink vegan.
    • Make it Slushy: Crush the ice cubes before adding them to the glass.
    • Tropical Flavors: Add 1/4 cup pineapple juice in addition to the orange juice for a more tropical flavor.

    Yield: 1 serving

    Orange Creamsicle Mocktail

Prep Time 10 minutes Total Time 10 minutes

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup Orange juice
    • 4 ice cubes -whole or crushed
    • 1/4-1/3 cup lemon-line soda
    • Whipped Cream
    • Orange slices (garnish- optional)

    Instructions

    Single Serving:

    1. Add Ice Cubes to a glass
    2. Spritz a generous amount of whipped cream on top of ice
    3. Pour in the orange juice
    4. Gently stir
    5. Gently pour in the Lemon-lime Soda until the glass is full
    6. Add more whipped cream on top
    7. Garnish with orange slices (optional)

    Party Size:

    1. Freeze Orange Juice into 12-24 Ice Cubes depending on the party size
    2. Place Orange Juice Ice Cubes into a serving pitcher or punch bowl
    3. Spritz a generous amount of whipped cream on top of ice
    4. Add 6 cups orange juice
    5. Gently Stir
    6. Gently pour in 3 cups Lemon-lime Soda
    7. Have whipped cream available for guests to top their cup with more whipped cream
    8. Garnish with orange slices (optional)

    Notes

Make it Slushy: if you want your drink to have a fun slush texture - crush the ice cubes before you combine them with the other ingredients.

When hosting a holiday party: feel free to add a few scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream or Sherbert Ice Cream to give it an extra fun flavor and creamy texture.

Party size Portions: increase the amount of Orange juice to meet the number of guests you are hosting. Use 1/2 cup per serving/guest. You will then increase the Lemon-lime soda in increments of 1/4 cup per serving/guest you want. Keeping the ratio of 1:2 between the lemon-lime soda and Orange Juice.

Alteration: For even more added flavor, add 1/4 cup of Pineapple juice per serving, as Orange and pineapple make an excellent flavor combination.
