Multiple investigations launched following 'abysmal failure' of Secret Service

Multiple investigations have been launched into the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

They include probes into the crime itself and how law enforcement allowed it to happen at all.

It’s becoming clear it was a complicated failure involving nine law enforcement divisions.

And, signs of trouble at the rally were evident minutes before the gunman opened fire.

Police had a report of a suspicious man pacing near the perimeter of Saturday's Trump Rally in Butler County.

Stan Kephart, a former police chief who worked event security for two former presidents, was on KDKA Radio with Collin Dunlap and is in disbelief of how the situation was handled.

“I can’t understand how a clear-thinking professional would be in possession of information of a potential sniper on a roof short a distance from the president and allow the president, the Secret Service, to allow the president to take a lectern,” said Kephart.

Kephart went on to say the shooting followed an absolute abysmal failure on the part of the Secret Service to protect.
