Former president Donald J. Trump, the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party in November's election, was shot during a rally in Butler, Pa. Saturday.

The United States Secret Service has issued a statement indicating that Trump's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Trump was on stage giving a speech at a campaign rally, when video appears to include the sound of gunshots, and Trump reached for his right ear before collapsing to the stage. Secret Service agents were shown jumping on top of the former president to shield him from additional fire.

The Republican National Convention will visit the Badger State this week, with security concerns among the major talking points with a robust security zone around Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
