Trump reveals what Biden told him after assassination attempt

Former President Donald Trump shared what President Joe Biden said to him when the pair talked after a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month.

Trump revealed the remarks in an interview with Fox News that was taped on Saturday — before Biden announced he was dropping out of the 2024 race — and aired on Monday.

“He said, ‘You’re lucky you turned to the right,’” Trump said, adding that the chat was a “nice conversation.”

During the conversation with the network’s Jesse Watters, Trump went on to break down the moments before and after 20-year-old Thomas Crooks opened fire.

“I just felt it was the ear,” Trump said, adding that after feeling the bullet, “there was a lot of blood,” which he thinks alarmed the Secret Service agents who jumped on top of him.

Trump said that he even got into a “little argument” with the agents while they were “lying on top” of him.

“I said, ‘I’m telling you, I’m OK. I’m fine. I’m going to get up. I want to get up. I’m not going to be taken out on a stretcher,’” Trump recalled.

The former president added that the agents initially thought that Trump was hit in the abdomen, he said, but he told them that he was not. He also argued with them about whether or not he would be put on a stretcher.

“They wanted to put me on a stretcher,” Trump said. “They had a stretcher, and they wanted to put me on a stretcher. And I said, ‘I’m not going on a stretcher.’”

As for his wound, Trump says his right ear is “getting much better” but right now is “good.”

“We’re getting down to the small bandages, but it was a nasty one,” Trump said.
