MIAD Pre-College 2024 sees record-breaking enrollment
The Summer Pre-College program at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) returned with record-breaking enrollment in 2024. The popular program, presented by Associated Bank and part of MIAD’s Youth + Community Program offerings, registered 255 students from around the country. Students chose from Core or Advanced classes in everything from fashion and graphic design to photography and animation.

Woman who served time for prior child neglect charge now charged in stepson's death
A woman who previously served time in prison for child neglect is now facing charges in connection to the death of her 6-year-old stepson. Anitra Burks, 33, of Milwaukee, was charged Friday with intentional homicide and neglecting a child in connection with Zane Adams' death.
