Officer Florencio Garcia Recognized by the American Legion
West Bend Police Officer Florencio Garcia was recognized by the American Legion, with the Edward J. Ormsby Law and Order Officer of the Year Award. Officer Garcia began his law enforcement career with the West Bend Police Department on June 3, 2018. Officer Garcia has been assigned to the Mid-Shift, and has developed into an officer who is known for his overall high quality job knowledge, tactical skills, leadership skills and dependability according to the West Bend Police Department.

Wadsworth, IL – Two residential fires in Lake County, likely caused by fireworks, have left one home completely destroyed and another severely damaged. According to Lake County Sheriff’s Police it began early Friday around 12:50 a.m., when Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and local fire agencies responded to a fire on Charlotte Drive, Wadsworth.
