Paradise to revamp all public roads by 2026, following 2018 Camp Fire damage
PARADISE, Calif. — The Town of Paradise prioritizes its roads by providing what is considered a much-needed revamping all over the ridge. The roads in the Town of Paradise took a major hit during and after the 2018 Camp Fire. From damage to wear and tear from debris and tree removal trucks, an upgrade is needed. After securing funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) the town has a plan to give every single public road in Paradise a much-needed upgrade.
PG&E to evaluate gas transmission pipeline in Chico
CHICO, Calif. - PG&E said its contract crews are preparing to conduct a safety inspection on a natural gas transmission pipe section in Chico. PG&E crews and contractors are preparing to conduct the strength test by excavating at various points along the pipe, which runs from PG&E’s center on The Midway and turns east to Fair Street near Paseo Campaneros Street and under Highway 99, then along Morrow Lane to Dominic Drive.

Water main bursts, floods intersection in Downtown Redding
REDDING, Calif. — Multiple City of Redding resources are currently working to repair a large, broken water main in the downtown area. At around noon on Friday, an 18-inch water main pipe burst at the intersection of Shasta and West streets. The rupture caused the intersection and nearby area to flood until City crews could arrive on scene and stop the flow.
