BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - After being closed for 55 hours, Highway 32 is reopening, just west of Chico. The road was closed over the weekend for a drainage repair. Crews were repairing box culverts that go underneath Highway 32 that are used to control the intake and outflow of water.

A murder case in Northern California remains unsolved after three years. Authorities are reminding the public about a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office was called on July 3, 2021, to help California State Parks officers with a homicide investigation at Bidwell Canyon Campground, near Lake Oroville State Recreational Area. They discovered that 20-year-old Tyler Dickson from San Pablo had been fatally shot while sleeping in his tent during a camping trip.
