    my wealthy uncle adopted me at 10 after the death of my parents. he had a expensive car and driver that took ua everywhere, even grocery shopping. when I was 16, I asked him for driving lessons. he said: " Why? Robert ( the chauffer) will take you anywhere you have to go. No need to drive." lol, I eventually talked him into driving lessons, even though he thought it was a waste of time.

    when I grew up, my father had a small business that did well, we had new cars and 25.00 a week while in high school, but we ,the kids worked every summer to earn what we got, we were well off but by no means rich.
